Schools Alver Valley Schools are set in extensive grounds close to the Alver Valley Country Park in Gosport. Every key stage has it's own large play equipment as well as a very large grassed playing field and a newly refurbished all-weather sports ground.

The network is a free opportunity for practitioners including those from pre-schools, nurseries, schools and childminders to meet and share good practice. The focus for this session will be Language and Communication. We will think about what makes a language rich environment and back and forth conversations. Year R had the best day yesterday. While out on ou Year R had the best day yesterday. While out on our welly walk we spotted some animals hiding in the woodland. The children recognised some of the characters from the story of the Gruffalo. Never for a minute did we suspect that a real Gruffalo was hiding in the woodland. Imagine our surprise when we found the Gruffalo in our fire circle. We gathered and listened to the story and the Gruffalo joined in! This year we are collecting non-perishable food items for Acts of Kindness as part of our celebration, and we welcome donations. The children from Alver Valley Junior school have The children from Alver Valley Junior school have been simply amazing in our production of Matilda which ended last night. The casting was perfect and we saw so many stand out performances this year in terms of acting, singing and dancing. Tonight was the premiere screening of the Year 5 f Tonight was the premiere screening of the Year 5 film project titled ‘Gosport Is Great’! 🎬🎥 After learning about different creative roles in the film industry from experts in the field, children took the lead in creating their own film house & film. Working as a team they came up with concepts, storylines & scripts. After a process of prop making, filming, editing & marketing, tonight was the special screening. The audience gathered, popcorn & sweets were distributed & then it was on with the show! We loved the finished result, including the adverts & bloopers! This week Year R & Year 1 have had a brilliant tim This week Year R & Year 1 have had a brilliant time learning ‘on location’ at the beach! Final Straw Foundation ran brilliant beach school sessions for our classes, where we learnt all about the creatures that live on the shoreline & how we can play our part to look after our fabulous beaches. We learnt that the only things we should flush down the toilet are the 3 P’s: pee, paper and poo! We also had so much fun finding treasures & many, many crabs!
